1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that may be stored on a user’s device while browsing a website. Similar functions may be performed by other technologies that store or access information on a user’s terminal equipment, such as browser localStorage. The applicable rules include, in particular, Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021.

Where such technologies are used solely for technical purposes strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user, prior consent is not required.

2. What technologies does the website use?

As of the latest verification, the website does not place cookies and does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, social media tags, profiling systems, chat tools or third-party embedded content that performs tracking activities.

Website resources are served from the Solwin domain. Any LinkedIn link displayed in the footer is a simple external link: no information is transmitted to LinkedIn merely by viewing the page; any subsequent browsing on a third-party website is governed by that third party’s own privacy information.

Submitting the contact form does not result in cookies or other tracking technologies being placed in the user’s browser.

3. Technical storage in localStorage

The website uses one browser localStorage entry solely to remember that the information notice has been closed. This entry does not enable profiling or identification of the user and is not transmitted to Solwin or to third parties.

4. Information notice and consent

Since the website does not use cookies or other tracking technologies for purposes other than the technical purpose described above, a consent banner is not required. The website may display a simple information notice: selecting “I understand” only prevents the notice from being displayed again and does not constitute consent to tracking.

5. How to remove the technical storage

Users may delete the localStorage entry at any time by clearing the website data in their browser settings. Once deleted, the information notice may be displayed again.

6. Changes to this Cookie Policy

If analytics, advertising, profiling, embedded content or other technologies involving storage of or access to information on the user’s device are introduced in the future, Solwin will carry out a prior assessment and update this Cookie Policy, implementing a compliant consent mechanism where required.
